Blog Carnival

The Bard Blog Presents:

The Shakespeare Blog Carnival

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a Blog Carnival is a list of some posts from various related blogs all in the same place. The purpose of a blog carnival is to offer readers and writers of blogs a convenient way to see what’s going on in the “blogosphere” in a certain topic.

One my many goals with this blog is to expand awareness and appreciation for Shakespeare’s works but I certainly can’t do it alone. Fortunately, there are several other bloggers out there who are writing great posts about Shakespeare too! This blog carnival was created in the hopes of bringing these writers and our readers together in hopes of a larger increase of awareness and appreciation for the works of William Shakespeare.

Submission Guidelines

Do you have a Shakespeare related post on your blog? Have you read a great post lately on someone else’s blog? Great! Please submit it to the next edition of the carnival.

  • It must be Shakespeare related
  • Preferably about Shakespeare or your experience with Shakespeare.
  • No “Shakespeare Sucks” posts.
  • No unrelated posts that happen to have a Shakespearean quotation
  • No posts with Shakespeare’s text and nothing else. How about some commentary?
  • Recent (in the last month) posts are preferred.
  • Submissions are due the last day of the month for posting during the first days of the next month, ie: posts are due January 31st to be posts February 1st.
  • Please submit a link to a specific post/article, not the home page.
  • Only one post from an author will be posted each edition. Usually this will mean one post per blog, unless your blog has multiple authors. I will make exceptions if you have two really good posts and/or if there are not a lot of submission in a particular month.

If you have any other questions, or if you would like to host an edition of the Shakespeare Blog Carnival on your blog, please let me know.

If you have a post you’d like to share then submit it now!
