A famous Macbeth in the UK with Peter O&#039;toole (how do you spell that) added the Elizabethan quantity of blood - and was laughed off stage around the UK, closing early - either it was too much emotion, or the &#039;suspension of disbelief&#039; wasn&#039;t very suspended.
One of the most horrifying Titus moments I&#039;ve ever seen used ribbons for blood - my stomach churned.
I do think it is a cultural thing though - where i live in Romania we slaughter the pigs in the street - plenty of blood around in daily life.</description>
